The Revenue Chain for a Communications Service Provider is a sophisticated path – it is a complex, constantly evolving series of technologies, systems, and processes that eventually delivers a mix of services to subscribers. The more complex the network, the more complicated the problems that arise, often emerging as costly losses such as end users receiving unpaid services or poor billing and reconciliation of partner/vendor trading relationships.
Revenue Assurance (RA) solution gathers data from different network elements and proactively monitor and audit revenue chains across the entire network, identifying losses due to data inconsistencies in CDRs, network inefficiencies, unexpected changes to key systems, and poor billing and decrementing platform performance.
Fraud Management (FM) Solution in the other hand will investigate and analyze the gathered data to detect suspicious and fraudulent activities in the network based on the predefined fraud patterns. Possible frauds will result in alarms that may be either addressed automatically through integration with customer care or handled by human interaction.
RA/FM solution in its nature needs continuous enhancement to cope with changes in the network, introduction of new services, and need for new fraud detection and revenue assurance logic.
